Monthly London Newsletter – April 2022

Hello everyone and welcome to the April edition of the monthly newsletter. Spring is here and it’s brought with it (on the most part) good weather and positive vibes. With that in mind, I would like to kick us off by letting you know that the Real London Living Wage has gone up to £11.05 as of the start of April, which will be reflected in rider pay this month.

Some more good news is that service levels are generally improving across the board, whether it’s HMPO delivery success rates, FedEx priorities being nailed or Grubby box successful deliveries, everything is on the up. So I want to say a huge thank you to the whole team, without determined riders, diligent mechanics and dedicated ops staff, this would not be possible. So well done everyone!

Next up is to let you know that we’re currently recruiting for a PM Supervisor in the Ops team. This is an office-based role, working very closely with Nav and Matt, so if you’re interested, please ask one of them for more information ASAP, as the recruitment process is already underway. More information can be found here – https://uk.indeed.com/job/operations-supervisor-pm-shift-69039b715b12c4ec

Next on the agenda was Matt and Dan’s fantastic bike workshop initiative,  which happened last weekend. Whilst attendance was low, some learnings have been made and they’re both keen to do another soon, but this time, perhaps in the evening after a workday. If you need any help with getting your bike roadworthy and/or improved, please let one of them know so they can assess demand and make a decision on the next date.

Finally, new customers and new recruits – on the customer side we have PaperRound, a green office supplier whose central London deliveries will be made emission-free with Zedify.  We also have Ottolenghi, Adam’s Grooming, Growing Communities and Social Streets, the quarterly community magazine. In the rider team, we welcome Tung, Darren, George and Nahid.

That’s all for this week, but for a final mention of the rider survey. If you haven’t already, it would be great to get some anonymous feedback from the rider team here – https://forms.gle/zdJ15TDdqpyRnuro9

Thanks!

Tom
