We’re looking for a dynamic and driven manager to lead on our expansion plans in London. This is a varied role that would suit an ambitious person who is keen to make an impact on helping to create London as a truly liveable city. You’ll be absolutely key to our ambitions in growing Zedify’s presence in London through our growing network of hub (cargo bike depot) locations.

The job

The focus on this role will be to ensure that as we expand our operations in London, we will continue to provide a first-class service to our customers based on excellent communication, operational excellence and management of our wonderful team of riders, hub managers and support staff. You’ll continue to develop the culture, standards and systems for our existing and new hubs that matches our brand values and ensures that Zedify grows to be the ethical choice for first and last mile deliveries in London.


As a line manager, you’ll provide leadership and support to the team of hub managers to ensure they have the tools to deliver a quality service and remain motivated and happy with the brand. You’ll organise recruitment, payroll, reviews and training of the team in line with demands of the business and be responsible for Health & Safety and setting a culture of continuous improvement.


You’ll work closely with the COO to implement efficiency savings and maintain a positive financial position in line with budgets.

You’ll manage and lead ad-hoc projects including opening new hubs with the associated operations requirements such as recruiting staff, ordering new vehicles, fitting out premises, connecting utility services, etc

There will be a responsibility for account management, looking after existing and onboarding of new clients, meeting KPIs and service level agreements.

On a daily basis, you’ll ensure the hubs and facilities are operating smoothly, including up-time of the operational fleet.

Zedify works by utilising depots on the edge of urban areas that act as a gateway for small items coming in and out of the area. We re-mode to large electric cargo trikes ensuring we are faster and more agile and can hit the narrow time windows consumers are demanding. By consolidating deliveries going to the same area, we are more efficient. 

Zedify was established in 2018 and is a licenced network of independent zero emission delivery operators with a unified brand, business system and shared technology platform. In the past year, we delivered over 600,000 items out of our 10 UK hubs. We have an ambition to become a certified B Corp.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for an ambitious and capable operations professional that is used to a fast-paced environment and enjoys a very diverse role working in a small business environment.

You’ll have experience of managing a team or teams and have 5+ years of work experience in an operations role. You’ll have a solid track record of achievement and be able to demonstrate projects or systems where you have made an impact to increase efficiency and/or productivity.

You can break complex problems into smaller ones and enjoy working with data to facilitate your work, using this to measure success or failure.

You’ll be a great people person, leading from the front and have demonstrated how you’ve brought your teams together.

You’ll want to make a difference and be part of a team that’s excited about making our cities more liveable. Disappearing into a large organisation or doing the same thing every day doesn't appeal.

You’ll share our ideals and ethos, have a positive attitude and be motivated to make an immediate impact as our brand ambassador.

Experience of a rapidly evolving start-up business environment would be a big plus.
