Green deliveries for green meal kits
We teamed up with vegan recipe kit co. Grubby to transform the way their pioneering ingredient boxes are delivered.
Grubby are the UK’s leading vegan recipe kit brand, delivering delicious, planet and people friendly recipe kits.
Why did Grubby choose Zedify?
Meal kits are an estimated £1 billion+ market in the UK and the industry has huge potential to play a pivotal role in UK sustainability, spanning food, health, ethical supply chains and packaging. Now, there’s an opportunity to ensure that these pioneering kits arrive at the urban doorstep sustainably too – on Zedify’s emission-free cargo bikes.
We’re proud to help Grubby in their mission to extend their health-conscious and sustainable values to the last mile of their deliveries.
Paul O’Byrne of Grubby says:
“Not only is it great that Zedify use pedal power (plus we love our cobranded cargobike), but most importantly, customers get their orders on time.”
We’ve been supporters of Grubby for a while
Back in 2020 (pre-Zedify collab), we had a chat with Martin Holden-White, Grubby’s founder, about their overall experience of delivering by bike.
“Our customers love getting bikes arriving – I get lots of Whatsapps of people sharing that they’re getting their Grubby box delivered by bike,” said Martin, “And, we’ve saved over half a tonne of carbon since we started using cargo bike deliveries. When you’re comparing costs, it’s cheaper too!”
In early 2022, Grubby teamed up with Zedify to continue business growth.
Fast forward to now, and our Hoxton team delivers hundreds of their delicious recipe kits to boroughs all across London, week in week out. Here’s one delivery in action!
For customers, perhaps one of the best parts of a cargo bike delivery (aside from the green credentials) is seeing a branded bike rock up with their parcel – it’s quite the novelty.
Business Green Leaders Awards 2022
We were absolutely chuffed to be listed with Grubby for Business Green Leaders’ 2022 Transport Project of the Year award last year. Other brilliant transport projects were listed alongside us, such as HumanForest – the Mobility as a Service (MaaS) trailblazers and ULEMCo Ltd – a zero emission ambulance for the London Ambulance Service.
